Overview:
For my role with the Milford High School cross country teams, I have designed locker posters for them in the past. Both of these designs were personalized for each runner and student manager, printed out, and posted on their school lockers for the season.
Season Poster (Left): This poster was designed at the beginning of the 2022 season for each of the runners. This was one of my first times designing solely for print. The design was meant to be simple, yet sharp and bold.
Unfortunately, at the time, I didn't design the poster with the printing process in mind. While the poster looked great and accomplished what I wanted it to, it required large amounts of ink to print. This was a valuable lesson I learned, and I have used it in every print project since.
State Poster (Right): This poster was designed for the runners that qualified for state that same season. Since these posters would go up on the lockers right next to the other poster, I used similar styles and fonts.
This time around, I made sure to design with the printing process in mind. I tested out multiple variations and went with the most ink-efficient one.
Looking back, the color theme looks a little bit dull, especially compared to the other poster. However, for the purpose of the poster, I wanted the team photo on the poster to be the highlight, and I think the design accomplished that.
